Studies done by ITSCo have revealed that the energy recaptured by installing the LSM’s on the downhill side of the Cajon Pass freight train tracks will generate enough electricity for the needs of 20,000 homes. Alternatively the energy can be used to move the trains uphill with this zero emissions solution.
